Dr. Raymond Goodrich presents: My journey from academia to industry and back – lessons learned about innovation, pivots, startups, collaboration, and funding.

Raymond Goodrich, PhD, is the executive director of the Infectious Disease Research Institute at Colorado State University. He formerly served as vice president of Scientific and Clinical Affairs and Chief Scientific Officer, Blood Bank Technologies, for Terumo BCT, a leading global medical device manufacturer. He has worked in medical research for more than 29 years, managing research staff and development programs in transfusion and transplantation medicine and pathogen reduction technologies. He has been awarded over 50 patents and has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts.

Recently, Dr. Goodrich has co-invented a novel vaccine platform technology and is the co-founder of two CSU-affiliated startups, PhotonPharma and Solaris. This lunchtime series is designed for researchers and academics who are interested in entrepreneurship, pharmaceutical, device and technology development and innovation.
Each month, skillful interviewers will engage in an enlightening conversation with an expert, followed by a Q&A session.
The series will take place on Zoom.
