In addition to teaching assistantships and research assistantships, admitted domestic CMB Students are eligible for support through the following NIH Training Awards:
- The Quantitative Cell and Molecular Biology Program (qCMB) is for CMB students in years 2-3 of the program.
- The IMSD Program is for students who are interested in Translational Medicine. It supports students from under-represented populations in the 1st-3rd years of their program.
- The Infectious Disease Research and Response Network also has a T32 Training Grant for students interested in Infectious Disease. It supports students who have passed their preliminary exam.
- There is a Post-DVM T32 for veterinarians interested in a PhD in Translational Biomedicine.
International students may participate in these training programs and may be eligible for support through other mechanisms, but cannot be supported through an NIH training award.
